PS4 Question

I currently have an Xbox One and was looking at buying a PS4 soon. The games coming out exclusively for it look amazing and I am a huge baseball fan that would make The Show a day one purchase. I do have some concerns and questions. People keep telling me that the frame rate is awful and doesn't show signs of getting better. Is this true? They tell me that games look great but don't run smoothly. Also, how is the online play and playstation network? The PSN was a big reason I stayed away from PS3. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you mean frame rate for the MLB game, or games in general? Because if we're talking games in general, then obviously you're being told lies lol. Every PS4 game I've played (inFAMOUS: Second Son, Wolfenstein, Entwined, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed IV, Killzone: Shadow Fall) have run flawlessly. I know I sound like a big Sony fan-boy, but I'm only telling you the truth. The PS4 runs great. much better then the PS3.

As for the PSN, again it's great. You do have to pay for a Playstation Plus membership in order to play online, but you also get free games and discounts along with it.

May I ask why PSN made you stay away from the PS3? That way I can answer your question better :)

The reputation of crashing and being unreliable were the primary reasons. Even small things like lack of party chat played a big factor to me. It just seemed like PSN was light years behind xbox live. And in regards to frame rate issues, I have been told that it is on all games with shooters bringing out the worst problems.

Also, how reliable is the system? For example, I have problems with my xbox in things like not always turning on when told to, controller randomly turning off, party chat randomly not working, and other small nuisance issues like that. Do you experience anything similar with your PS4's?

Well graphic wise it surely performs hell lot better than Xbox one, so if you are impressed wtih your Xbox performance, you will be more than impressed with PS4's.
As for PSN, i cant comment as I'm not big on online MP, but my free trial days were flawless (except one day which server was down for maintenance).

Well as I said, I haven't come across any frame-rate issues whatsoever. Think they might be pretty rare for the PS4.

I've had my PS4 since April 1 and have not ran into any problems at all. But that's just my experience.

Never had any probs with my PS4 either, had it since launch day.
No probs with framerates as yet either.

Keep in mind there are people that have had to return their PS4's for a replacement due to them being faulty, however I know this happened to Xbone's as well and I guess can be expected in any new console generation early life.

I have MLB and the games pretty awesome and the graphics are top class, Someone is clearly telling you a fib... Its no secret that the PS4 graphics are better than the Xbox one but hey PS4 has the 60fps games and the native 1080p.
