I heard dead space was pretty gnarly never played it myself. I would troll youtube and try and find something that might tickle your fancy.

Horror games are pretty fun to play especially with the lights off. Here are my thoughts:

1. Alien: Isolation
2. Layers of Fear
3. Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Dead Space is a great game. The sounds are the best in a horror game by far, they create tension on their own. That's a must play
