PS4 Update

Did you guys first fire up the PS4 with your external hard drive plugged in and connected to internet or did you setup system first then install the update? And does it even make a difference how I do it?

I set it up first then shut it down for the update. Probably best to do it that way. I'm sure either way would be fine.
