PS4 vs. Xbox One - The Ultimate Showdown!!!

I don't think there's any question about which system I'm getting. The Xbox One has been heavily marketed as a media machine, trying to emphasize it's ability to do practically every except gaming. At the end of the day, I suspect it will be a fine machine, and it will be clearly capable of running games (probably at almost the exact same frame rate, considering the developers of the games and their affect on the platforms), but I feel as though they don't have their priorities set on the games that got them where they are. Plus, their always on Kinect thing really wasn't popular.

Sony has done an excellent job of just staying quiet. Microsoft has made some bad marketing moves, so if Sony continues to slowly release information on the PS4 and keep from doing any idiotic, they should be in good shape. While I admit, the new control kind of scares me, I think for sake of familiarity and nostalgia, as well as past experiences with both systems, I have to get a PS4. And that's not even considering the fact that the PS4 is shaping up to be slightly cheaper.

I've always been a Playstation girl and the PS4 seems to blow Xbox One out of the water. There are just far too many issues that comes along with the Xbox, not to mention it has been a less reliable console in general for some time.

I will be getting the PS4. Only because I have a PS3 now and Sony have treated me very nicely. Also it seems the PS4 might just be taking the upper edge in gaming. Furthermore, I don't want to pay for a console that lets me watch TV. I can do that with the PS3 now. I think more people are getting the PS4 so it should have a large community which is a plus point.

For some few reasons I like the PS4 more. Or also Sony.
I like that the main features that they were showing were actually gaming related like share button and stuff like that.
I have always liked the controller more (I know stupid reason I just think Sony has made some good one)
They release the PS4 in my country this year instead of waiting till next year. This was one of the things that made me want the PS4 a lot more than Xbox One.
Also some of the exclusives seems more interesting.

Between the PS4 and the Xbone I have to of course choose the PS4. Why? Because they haven't been shifty b@stards. They didn't say they were sticking with old policies and then suddenly present a bunch of awful crap and then backtrack when people complained. They didn't make the decision to screw over most gamers - and as much as some X-bots want to pull the "gaming is a luxury" party line that's still retarded just from a business point of view. I mean they ignored entire regions and countries in the changing of their policies - and they were rude as anything while doing it. "We have a product for those people - it's called an Xbox 360." hashtag#dealwitit Like I mean make idiot decisions but don't talk down to people like they aren't worth your time and effort.

TL;DR - Sony didn't act like they were doing everyone a favor just by creating a console. They also bothered to make a console versus the Netflix 280.

I'm more interested in the PS4 mainly because it seems to be more game oriented. I'm a dinosaur I suppose. I fondly recall the days when my phone was just a phone, my game machine didn't cost me hundreds and hundreds of dollars because it was just a game machine, and I could play games without having to worry about what I was wearing. Always on technology indeed.

You would think anyone who's registered on this forum prefer's the PS4 over the Xbone, after all,it is ps4forum.com :o

We can be dinosaurs together - my phone is still a dinosaur and I game mostly naked... so yeah no way I'm getting an Xbone.

I think the PS4 is going to beat the Xbox again and I say that because not only did Xbox One make many mistakes (and even though they fixed many of those problems it left a lingering bad-taste in the mouth of the consumers) not to mention the controversy surrounding the leaked information regarding the changes in the Xbox One system. I am personally looking forward more to the PS4 anyway and I am not sure why but the Xbox One just looks like a good idea executed incorrectly but I guess I will have to wait and see.

I never bought any of the Microsoft consoles because I've always given the priority to Sony's, but this time it's different, the competition is big. I'm willing to wait until they both come out and see the reviews, they might run out by then, but it doesn't matter as long as I get the best console.

I've got to chime in and say that I think these fanboy wars where people stan consoles because it's what they decided to plunk $300+ on are really pathetic. I will say that I anticipate PS4 to be better than xbox One for me. I don't need an all in one entertainment experience like xbox one will provide. That's not the reason to buy a gaming console. I buy a gaming console to play video games. Not to search the web, to watch football or to purchase movies.

MLB The Show will be on PS4 and not XBox One. The two systems will both be great, but as a big fan of baseball video games, it would be silly to pass up the PS4 and one of its best sports series.

Well I've liked the PS3 much better than the 360 so I would guess once they come out, if I get one I'll be going with the PS4.

The main reasons leading me to buy a PS4 are the exclusives it has and the fact that the majority of my friends uses a playstation. The other reason I love it, is for "plus" I have it in my PS3 and the amount of games I'm able to play thanks to it its amazing.
And I want a console for the games, for what xBox advertises they don't seem to be focusing in the gaming part of the console as much as they should.

The XBone has focussed on being a multimedia platform while I think the PS4 is focussed on becoming the best next gen console. I have been so fed up with paying for XBL that I might just pick up the PS4 instead to be honest... Depends on the cost when they come out however.
