PS4 wont load assassins creed save file

So i hired assassins creed from the video store and after playing it i decided to buy it from eb games. When i put the game in it decided to install the game even though its on the ps4 already and now it wont recognise any previous saved files on the system. Can someone help me out because if saved files are locked to the disk ill be throwing the ps4 away and going back to pc

Is the game you hired from the store from the same region as the the one you bought? You'd think it would be at a guess but you never know. Was your EB copy brand new? Or perhaps a used copy someone else imported?
For eg,if the one is US region 1 and the other Region 2 European then I think saves or game data wont work on each other.
