I'm an older gamer.
I'm from the arcade era, first atari consoles time frame.
I have all the sony consoles.
In the process of acguiring all of them for my grand daughter, who is a gamer as well.
My post is about the PS5 console from a consumer perspective.
Abit frustrated hearing about how its been a record breaking launch for the PS5.
Most consumers/gamers don't have one yet.
The bots bought the majority of the consoles, multiple consoles at one transaction.
Scalpers cashing in and selling them at ridiculous prices online.
Watching for update drops at most stores.
Like so many others, I'd love to have one.
But right now even with the lack of PS5's in circulation to meet selling and consumer needs.
The PS4 is still going very strong and won't lose steam until PS5's are meeting the demands of the consumer.
If sony doesn't change their selling approach of PS5's, the PS4's will be very relevant and going strong for the next year or so.
My proposal/suggestion to sony.
Just simply start placing them on the shelves for purchase.
The hype:
The hype has passed and most people aren't gonna give a hoot about mugging someone in a parking lot with a PS5. Neither will there be an insane long line waiting to grab one. The hype is over.
Don't give a rats butt about commericals, online reviews, bundle deals.
I know what I want and know when and how to spent my money.
Covid concerns:
It might surprise you, but theres still a major covid pendemic and most wear masks and still do the 6ft social distancing, so the whole covid concern is bogus.
Most people that are waiting to acguire a PS5 are decent people.
Not my Parents:
You aren't my parents so assuming you know whats best for me, thanks but no thanks, such is stupidity on display.
Law suits?
Any idiot that's willing to put his or her self at risk over a PS5 and attempts any criminal behavior deserves prison time, forfeiting all rights to file a law suit of any kind imo.
Just simply shut up with your press statements and etc,
and put the PS5's on the shelves meeting the real (not bots) every day consumers needs.
