Let's say my PSN account is from the US and I bought an R3 game, so the DLC is available in the US Store and I want to buy it. Will it work with my R3 disc? Will the DLC bought work on all region discs?

Bottom line,games are region free but like PS3 DLC isnt.

Sure,but Im just stating DLC must be from same region really.(Having said that AUS and UK games/DLC are cross compatible AFAIK)
In his case though he said his account IS US,so if he has an Asian game he would have to make an Asian account,get an Asian PSN card and download from there.

Thanks for clearing this up, I've been using a US PSN but recently bought AC4 R3 because of its free stuff and was thinking about buying the DLC when it comes out. I knew the PS3 had region restrictions but I had hoped that the PS4 would be different. Guess I'll have to keep using the alternate method.
