Question About Twitch On The PS4

When I managed to get my hands on the PS4 last time I mainly watched whatever was being broadcasted on Twitch at the time. I noticed it was "Live From PlayStation" (or "Live From PlayStation 4").

My question is does PS4's Twitch only allow you to watch broadcasts from players streaming from the PS4 (meaning I would have to go to Twitch via the browser to view other games being played) OR are you able to pick from other platforms and stuff to watch?

I haven't seen any options for what you're requesting but I have watched some Twitch/Justin TV streams from PS4, some glitchy, some decent, some low quality.

I figured as much. It didn't seem like I could pick anything else, but I didn't bother to actually explore it I was using it. I was too interested in the fact that I could actually check out streams.

From what I've seen on other peoples PS4's it looks like if you're using the PS4 twitch app it only shows streams from people using the console. I haven't seen any options to search for specific games or specific streams but that just could be some oversight on my part since I wasn't really focusing on that. Maybe it is there but I didn't find it but I don't think it's included yet in the service. Hopefully Sony does add it.

What BBGold and hellsing006 said is true, you're only limited to whatever people playing the PS4 live are streaming using the streaming service. I noticed there were people who were streaming their PS4 gameplay with their usual setups (for music, transitions, other videos--actual show stuff you'd want to put in) and they weren't featured.

I will say the good thing about the PS4 Twitch app is that you can stream games and not have to worry about sinking more money into making sure your hardware is a bad enough dude.
