Rambo: The Video Game

So I want to see if I'm in the minority here - who is looking forward to Rambo: The Video Game?

I'm putting both my hands up, obviously, I am a huge Rambo fan (I especially love First Blood and Rambo). I could watch those movies over and over again (with the exception of Rambo III as it's the weakest of the four) and I've always wanted a Rambo game for current-gen consoles and thankfully my wish has come true.

For those who don't really know about this game, it covers the three original films and is a on-rails first person shooter (which is a shame as I think Rambo would suit an open world survival game, something like Fallout meets Far Cry in the jungle) Here is a trailer for those interested:

"Haze, this game looks horrible. The graphics resemble PS2 games and it looks generic as heck"

Yes, it kind of looks bad and pretty uninspiring, and I'm sure it will be getting average to low scores everywhere. But I can't help it. I love Rambo. I'll take any Rambo game I can get my hands on.

I had that Rambo game on the Sega MegaDrive...anyone remember or have that?
It was OK at the time but doubt Ill get another, and going by the trailer it doesnt look the best.

It looks ok but the graphics are pretty poor no lighting on the characters, i think the gameplay looks amazing like the knife combat and bow and arrow shooting but overall this game looks like a failure and it won't get many buys.

Well, it definitely reminds me of the first Far Cry,but that aside, i really hope that there is a mode where i can shoot everywhere and i kill anyone that is around me, because if there isn't something like that, it ain't the Rambo i know!

I actually still have the cartridge for that game :)

Maybe they would even be better off making a side scrolling adventure game. Haha. But I also loved Rambo when I was a kid. I never played the retro Rambo game though. I'm gonna download the ROM later.

Here's a hypothetical: what if the game is as bad as Superman 64 was. Wouldn't you be really pissed that the company crapped on the Rambo series, and that you shelled out hard earned cash on it? Judging from the trailer, it doesn't look like it's going to be as bad as Superman 64 was, but it looks pretty bad. That neck stab was pretty cool, though.

To be honest I'm not liking this game personally.

It just doesn't look like it's been polished and certainly doesn't meet the expectations we have from most of the games which are releasing now a days in the market.

I just hope that it has good gameplay mechanics and works better than it looks in the trailer. Hopefully they had a bad company who made the trailer and game might be better, if not, then I don't see much hope for this game.

I have to say that the graphics are bad but you can't say its a bad game overall as it does look pretty good in gameplay wise like some of the special abilites you can do like jumping and knifing i don't know if i would get it but its not terrible.
