Rate the last PS3 game you played

Valkyria Chronicles - WHY haven't I played this game until now? And why aren't there trophies for this awesome game? 8/10 It feels like Xcom meets final fantasy tactics.

Dark Souls 2 - Even with a few annoying issues I feel that it's a worthy successor and at times even vastly superior to DkS1 and Demon's Souls. 9/10.

I know this game is probably old by now but this is a game that I really enjoyed playing on the PS3 and I just finished it recently. That game is Uncharted 3. That game is the most fun that I have had in a while playing a PS3 game. The game has action from the beginning to the end. I give it a 9/10. I just love that game. In fact I'm going to play it right now.

The last game I played and beat was Alice Madness. I actually liked this game and I would give it an 8 out of 10 actually. I found a few things weird about it, but other than that the game was fun and exciting. I thought the story was good and sometimes I had some issues with locking on, but that could have been me haha. I give it an 8 because I think it should have been longer lol. :D

When i can post up posts with you tube links ( when i get to 30 posts ) i'll lob up a few reviews of mine.

Really interesting reading this thread i must say.

Anyone playing a game they think is actually a bit rubbish ?

Costume Quest - 7.5/10. Very nice game with a nice story and characters. Very funny too. A uniquely simple take on turn based RPGs. However, it gets extremely repetitive which is sad.

I have not played the Grubbins on Ice DLC. Might play it tonight.

CiV 5: Brave New World.

Only managed to get a few turns in, but it's better than nothing. I'd rate it a 8/10, even if I'm not very good at it.

Alright, I've played Grubbins on Ice now sooo...

Costume Quest: Grubbins on Ice DLC - 6.5/10. The story is pretty nice, since it's an interesting epilogue of sorts to what happened in the base game. There's a few more battle stamps (they give stat bonuses and skills) and 3 more costumes. The costumes are nice though I still never felt the need to change up my Robot (or Jack O' Lantern)/Knight/Statue of Liberty party other than using one of the new costumes for the final boss since its ability was basically necessary to survive one of the boss' attacks.

Other than that, the characters are still nice and there's some nice development between 2 of the kids. The story, however, ends with a stupid cliffhanger that made me think the game had glitched out and skipped the rest of the cutscene. Perhaps at the time they meant to make more DLC, but now we have to wait for Costume Quest 2 instead (which should be coming out this Halloween, 4 years after the first game) to continue the story.

The gameplay is also pretty much the same as the base game. A few more unique quests but it's basically repeating what we already did THREE times in the base game. Every chapter in the base games has the exact same structure and Grubbins on Ice is basically a 4th chapter.

It was pretty short, I would say around 3 hours for everything.

Overall, the weak climax and repetition hold it back. The simple (but entertaining at first) battle system and charming world and characters are what makes Costume Quest as a whole be so fun and Grubbins on Ice at least provides more of that charm.

(Also, these two posts show how different the length of my posts is between writing on the phone and writing on the PC)

Just played through Heavy Rain. 9/10.

Beginning of the game was incredibly slow for me, but I was soon completely enthralled with the story line. I thought it had great twists and the story lines were well-thought out like a major motion picture. Very easy to see why it was a game of the year title.

Probably my only complaint would be some of the seemingly worthless scenes that were boring to play and didn't end up contributing anything to the story line. Other than that, I had a great time playing.

Finally beat Red Dead Redemption after many months of slow progression. In the beginning, I found it to be a little slow-paced, but I came to enjoy it like an acquired taste. The storyline was better than I imagined. Roaming through valleys and mountainsides while killing buffalo and dodging cougars is somehow nostalgic. Rated 8.5/10.

Just finished Assassins Creed 3 and it was okay, not nearly as difficult as I had hoped for. Don't think that I am going to play it again and am glad I borrowed and didn't buy.

To me, Assassin's Creed III was a massive disappointment.

I'm pretty sure the last game I played was Vanquish, and I rate that game a solid 9/10. No matter how many times I play it, it never gets old. The controls are easy to handle, the storyline is lengthy, and for a real challenge you can play God Hard, which I can barely get through, but it sure is a lot of fun.

Really awesome game that one. A lot of the times I thought I was going to have an epileptic fit though. Ha.

I have bought Battlefield 4 for sometime now, but I have only recently finished the campaign.

Singleplayer 6/10 - nothing new, story is not gripping enough, quite sluggish. Low replay value.

Multiplayer 9/10- Awesome firefights and lots of opportunity for a fun game session. Bad netcode and lag does hinder it from its potential.

Oh, didn't notice that. My bad.

But SP still is the same for both platforms right? Used to own a Ps3 but didn't buy BF4 for it as I think the Ps4 would do better at it multiplayer-wise.

Do you have it for Ps3? Is the rubberband issue also there in the Ps3 version? Cause it sucks in the Ps4 conquest maps, especially Naval Strike.

I've been laying off BF4 MP for a while, hope they get it fixed soon. I've read that they put up new servers.

Nah,I have it on PS4 too.An yeah,I have read they are supposed to be fixing the rubberbanding issues too.

Tomb Raider, the new one. 9/10 because they didn't let me kill Whitman. It was a great game though and it's the only game that got me to pick a bow over a gun. LOL :p
