realy stupid black flag question

im 1 of the many that cant conect and play multiplayer but how do i know if my single player is conected?

What do you mean? Your single player? I think on the load up you'll see something that says 'connecting to ubisoft servers' and if it goes through and doesn't come up with an error message then I think you're connected.

did you start a Uplay account? AFAIK it is pretty much the equivalent of EA's origin. Please correct me if I am misinformed but I am pretty sure you need to set up an account to play online. It will also track your single player
