Rock Band 4 Revealed for PS4 And Xbox One

So its now be confirmed,RB4 will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One.
The plan is to hopefully use your old PS3 instruments on PS4 and even carry over your DLC!

Harmonix on Thursday officially announced Rock Band 4. The new music game will launch for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 by the end of the year, the Boston-based studio said.
New guitar, drums, and microphone peripherals are coming by way of a partnership with Mad Catz. However, in an effort to keep the community united, Rock Band 4 will not support keyboards or pro-controllers.

As for the Rock Band peripherals already released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Harmonix product manager Daniel Sussman said the team is "working their asses off" to support those old controllers for Rock Band 4.
Perhaps a more important question for gamers is: Will my existing Rock Band DLC carry forward? That's the plan, according to Sussman.

"We have been working with Sony and Microsoft to support legacy entitlements, so that DLC you bought on the PS3 will carry forward to the PS4, and same with the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One," he said.
It's unclear right now if you'll be able to move DLC across console families, i.e. PS3 to Xbox One or Xbox 360 to PS4.
Finally, Sussman said Rock Band 4 will be the only new Rock Band game released for the Xbox One and PS4.
"We don't envision a Rock Band 5, 6, 7 or 8. What we would rather do is build on the Rock Band 4 feature set through very deliberate content and title updates that are developed in collaboration and conversation with our community," he said.

I had fun playing GH and RB on PS3,especially with a few people.
Havent even finished RB 3 yet but I really hope they can get the instruments from PS3 to work on PS4,save many of us buying new ones.
I have a Logitech guitar and its much better than those cheapy plastic ones.
Also to be able to import PS3's RB DLC would be awesome too.
If this is all the case I would probably buy RB4.:Onya

I'm pretty excited. Though I knew they'd be coming out with one for next gen. I missed out on the past Rock Bands but had the original one from my room mate for a while on PS2. Oh the drunken college nights playing that game. Good times. I'm really hoping to get this one. Though in my little room, not sure where I'd fit them. As for the instruments, I'd hope they PS3 ones are compatible. They were just USB I believe. Though I'm sure they're going to come out with new instruments that will make you want to kick the old one's to the curb
