Rumor: Dark Souls 2 Coming to the PS4

Well yes if online retailer Tesco is to be believed. Right now the next Dark Souls is only coming to current generations and the developer has denied anything coming to the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. But that didn't stop Tesco from listing the game for the next gen systems. Probably just an error on their part but interesting none the less.

I'm guessing an error too. But maybe a port in the near future? Dark Souls got a "Prepare To Die" edition. Maybe something like that will be coming to the PS4?

I would hardly call Tesco a reliable source here I don't see the big deal here anyway , Dark Souls 1 was released on both the 360 and the PS3, so why would the sequel not come to the PS4?

Naw, I don't see this happening. If it were another game, sure, but I don't see From Software developing Dark Souls 2 for two different console generations... though I wouldn't really mind it! The world needs more Dark Souls!

Well, it's interesting to say the least. As you said, it might as well be an error on their part. So, what happens to the pre-orders if this thing turns out be an error?

It's quite possible, and i don't see a reason to why not do this, it would get them a few more bucks for the game, just add some extra content or physics based equipment or something to get the people to buy the same game twice.

Like many have already stated in this thread, releasing Dark Souls 2 on the PlayStation 4 would be pretty interesting, but I can't see this happening anytime soon or at all really. I think the developers wouldn't waste time porting the game to the PS4. Hopefully the game will however get a proper sequel on the system in the near future though.

The game will definitely get a proper sequel on the system eventually, the Souls series is the best thing to happen to From Software since Armored Core. I'm certain they will want to keep it alive as long as they want. I certainly hope the Souls series gets about fourteen titles like Armored Core, personally! I can't get enough and I've only played Dark Souls (but I've played it 5 times already!)

Even better, I want to see Sony actually use the Demon's Souls IP, which they apparently own. Though what I want Sony to really do is port Demon's Souls to Vita, heheh.
