Rumor has it that Crash Bandicoot Might Be Coming to PS4

Removing all references? "Crash? What Crash? There's never been any Crash...silly gamer. Take him out back, rough him up and send him on his way." It's great that Crash 4 is looking like a reality.

I remember Kirkhope (who did all that cool music for the series) said that the whole time Nuts & Bolts was in development he and a lot of the original Rare staff were basically of the "We don't know about this" and said that it was so not a Banjo game that the feeling was they should just make it a new game altogether then actually get to work on Banjo Threeie like they were supposed to.

He also said that he wished they would've gone back to Nintendo and made the Banjo games for them. I believe if they were a company similar to Retro, Nintendo would just leave them to their devices to work on Banjo, DK, and Conker (if they could've gotten the licenses for Banjo and Conker) and have Retro do Metroid and whatever the other games they were working on before Nintendo said "Stop that and do this."

Was it like that? I remember reading Rare was happy where they were and that if they were working with Nintendo they would be forced to push out sequels constantly. Now I'm gonna have to dig history and read up... Regardless, Rare's problem was that all the talent left and we were left with a company that is Rare in name only.

I don't want a forced Crash Bandicoot game.
I want one that they've been inspired to build. One that they'll actually put their heart into.
I just don't want to be disappointed

It's Crash though, you'll actually have to put in an effort to mess it up. Simply put the character turns everything it touches to gold. I for one can't wait for it (that is assuming that it is actually coming out and all of us aren't simply going in circles).

IGN is also reporting on Activision removing all references of Crash, so it looks like we are a go on Naughty Dog making a new Crash game which still blows my mind. I can only imagine what was happening in Activision when they were doing that. "Crash? F that guy, We hate that guy, get out of here guy." Still so happy about this development that I'm hoping for the best.
