Rumor: Walmart does have PS4's in stock and will be selling them on Black Friday

It's been said on the forum plenty of times that if you want a PS4 then Walmart is a good place to go. And employees have been speaking out and saying that the stores do have PS4's in stock but are holding them back until Black Friday. Of course store employees are going to tell consumers that they don't have them but dualshockers is saying different. Check it out fact or fiction?

Walmart has PS4's

Well they keep a lot for Black Friday to watch the consumer mosh pits that breakout at these things...oh and sales too, but mostly for people elbowing each other and cradling electronics like footballs.

Well, I can not wait to see the amount of teenagers that will run in and buy it, even if it means having to fight for it. Hopefully Walmart does have the PS4 because then more people can play it and enjoy it.

For me, I have pre ordered the PS4 and will have it shipped to myself to avoid trouble!

See that's the wise way around the whole thing: pre-order and have it delivered. Nevermind that waiting in the cold and rain.

Pretty much. Or just learn to have some patience, save some frustration and time, and buy it a few months after release. Most of the games that come out won't be exclusives either, and the ones that ARE won't really be worth your time.

I guess I was expecting something like this. The new consoles are definitely going to be the most wanted item for Black Friday and Christmas, so it's only natural that Walmart will save a few units for special events like those.

I am sure that they do have them. If they don't then they might just start a riot. I know for a fact that Kmart probably only has a few in stock and will advertise "Limited Supply" to cover their butts from legal action. I know someone who worked there and said they would get like 7 per store, but advertise like crazy just to get people in the store to shop for other Black Friday items.

Wal-Mart always seems to have available video game paraphernalia. I remember when Super Smash Bros Brawl was released, there were lineups at EB Games. My buddies and I went to Wal-Mart, where they had plenty in stock and nobody was around for miles (we went in the early morning).

I can't imagine being there on Black Friday though. I know that people shopping in droves on Black Friday is more mythical than factual, but I would hate to be caught up in a horde of trampling console hunters.

It's still to soon for me to go and get a PS4, and I refuse to fight a sixteen year old for one. I'm more than happy to wait a bit more to buy one. Though I think that it surprises no one that there are PS4s in retail stores just waiting to be bought. Hopefully things don't get to ugly with people fighting for it.

That is not surprising to me. I mean I assumed they would have plenty consoles available for Black Friday, because of the sales they can be looking at getting. I mean they know how many people will be in those stores at that time.

I've heard there are a lot of stores holding back stock for Black Friday or Sunday. The reason being they are being advertised in their flyers so they legally have to have some in stock to sell on those days.

It's a great way to build up anticipation because everyone knows by now that despite what the stores say that they do have the consoles and are lying about. We know that they're holding them until Black Friday and around Christmas and they know that we know. They just want to hype people up to lose their minds trying to grab them.

I hope no one gets shot or stabbed. Or even run over just for a damn gaming console. The things people do on black friday. I am staying home, screw that noise lol

I'd have a hard time imagining that Sony won't be selling their consoles on one of the biggest shopping days in America. Surely they will make PS4s available somewhere somehow for this day. Hopefully, they just sell them online so at least there will be less people to potentially get trampled or contribute to the trampling.

I know someone was shot on launch day. Black Friday seems to bring out the worst since people believe they only have three shots in a period of a month to grab a new console and locations usually put out "just enough" and no one wants to drift from location to location hunting consoles.

Good thing stores don't put "ONLY 10 PS4s AVAILABLE!" The roads would be like Death Race 2000.

Exactly. Some parents don't feel secure about shopping online to actually avoid the lines and stuff. Younger parents? Sure. Older ones will brave the stores and deal with lines and stuff. Which means I have to be roused out of bed in the early morning to come along.

I hate being woke up to go stand in line or tag along while people take their time shopping. Half of that could be avoided by doing it online. Actually most of it could be avoided.

Walmart, Target, and Best Buy always have a couple of consoles in stock. They might say "Sold out" or "Come back next week" or whatever, but they're back there.

I did wait I always do when it comes to black friday. I stayed home and slept off the 3rds I had. I'm still not ready to purchase a PS4 or get into a brawl for a brand new TV. We have the internet now. The same deals without running the risk for a black eye or having to potentially harm the elderly (who play dirty when it comes to deals.)

The elderly really have that elbow to the liver mastered...and they're so fast.

...just "BAM!" scuttle scuttle scuttle.
