Saints Row the 3rd

So with the arrival of Grand Theft Auto V, would you replay a game like Saints Row the 3rd just for the heck of it? Or has GTA 5 ruined all games in that genre for you?

I wouldn't play SR3 again just because I've played GTA V. I'm the sort of person who can't play a game again once I've completed the story line.

Besides the storyline of GTA V is more detailed than that of the SR series. SR3 would just feel cheap to me

yeah I know what you mean KMJ_84 but how about the Mayhem mode or the Whored mode, there are many other things you could do too, like go on a rampage through the city...

Nope - those two modes were fun, but they didn't make the game for me. To be honest , I'm not one for going on rampages throughout the city. I like my side missions and races

I haven't even played SR3 yet but I've beat GTAV and I'm definitely looking forward to playing SR3.

They're pretty different games when you get down to it, one being a tad more realistic and cynical while the other is more arcadey and ridiculously silly.

Saints Row 3 is fun, but I don't know if it has that much replay ability. I would probably just play Saints Row 4 if I wanted something similar to GTA V, but at the same time is a more current game. I think that both the franchises have good and similar games so I would be fine playing either, although I lean a little bit towards GTA V.

I can get into Saint Row's main storyline, but I tend to be slow on replaying the games overall. GTA tends to be better...structured where the storyline is concerned and everything just comes off as the genuine article.

Ahh I see, but regargless of all the different view points here Rockstar and Volition both have two winners in my book, but I wonder what it means for the GTA V seeing its massive success so far, will rockstar be motivated to try harder or will they quit while they're ahead...

Rockstar won't quit. Their game broke records. And the sale figures for SR4 were laughable compared to other Rockstar games.
