Same old?

Well going through the times looking at Call of Duty 1 then 2 then 3 etc it shows how good the games were but i don't know how other people feel anymore but for the last 3 years i have felt the games are becoming to repetitive, for example like ill pass 1st prestige and ill just stop playing for good, however this was not the case on Modern Warfare 2 i got to 8th prestige and i still wanted to play.. what is the game missing?

Its missing a compelling storyline. It needs more then just an 8 hour game of repetitive shooting. Grows old.
Multiplayer needs to incorporate vehicles like battlefield.

The game is missing innovation. There is nothing new or interesting in every iteration of the game. It's just the same stuff. Every franchise comes to the point where everything has been done, and at that point you stop the series on a high note. But instead they carry on putting out the same thing over and over again with no meaningful change and the franchise just became worthless in my opinion. I've been a loyal fan of the COD brand right from the start at the first game, but the stuff that they are putting out now is just shameful.

This is CoD.If they were to change it too much people would complain its to un CoD like.
One could say the same about many games,BF3 for eg to me it just a re skinned BF BC2.

Well you all are correct, it feels old and repetitive right now. I'm hoping it will pick up. Riley is a neat add-in but that's about it so far.

It is repetitive and even on PS4 the graphics are the same as MW2. I love the framerate on ps3 though. The single player is actually not that fun. At times it was cool seeing all these explosions and epic moments but all in all, this game didn't fully take advantage of being 'Ghost' like. It was just "Hey we're Ghosts man, we sneak n shit" but it wasn't really fun sneaking and it wasn't as good as MW2's sneaking was.

If anything, I'd have to say that it's a step back both in its story and multiplayer modes. Although the gameplay is the same and the series now has dogs, the story is almost unbearable, and so many multiplayer modes have been taken away that there's little to no variety in them.

I wish they would bring back HC FFA,they also took that away in Black Ops 2.
More hardcore modes overall would be better.

Well if you think about it, it is the same thing over and over again. Shoot a person rinse and repeat. It's just a matter if you can not get tired of it.

I feel the only thing new in each of these games are the locations. Other then that is the same old point and shoot.

it is very repetitive and to be honest i only got up to level 20 before i stopped playing it and most of the rank up is from when i was playing on PS3. It just got so boring and that maps are all extremely big and annoying. The guns aren't really different, neither are the point streaks. I do wish that they put back in 3rd person game mode back in. I used to love that

They've squeezed WW1, WW2, and the Cold War to a pulp. Their WW3 story line is on its last legs. Even the zombies mode has become redundant. All that's left for them to do is go further back in time or further into the future.

I think Space CoD would be neat. Future guns like the Moonraker laser, or that raygun from the zombies mode would be badass.

Thats a litle simple.Thats the same as saying every racing game is the same,or at least all F1 games are,and all GT games are..just go round and round in circles right?
All BF games are same too I guess? Some vehicles,some guns and shoot.
Killzone games are all the same too.Run around shooting in MP and shooting the Helghast in SP.

The thing is,yes,diff locations,diff perks,different way to set up classes,diff killstreaks,customizable characters,diff backgrounds and patches,diff guns etc etc.
Whether the guns are diff or not is subjective. They may be for you,but there are plenty of vids on YT going through differences in the guns.

I think its fine they release a new CoD every year. Who wants to play the same game for 2 years waiting for the next one? Too long,every year for CoD is fine.
Besides,diff dev teams make one every second year and try to out do each other,Infinity Ward this year and no doubt Treyarch next year..yeah..I look forward to seeing what Treyarch can do on the PS4.

I wish they would release a GTA game every year,as long as standards are kept high ofcourse.
