Seven-Hour PSN Maintenance Scheduled for October 13

Scheduled for October 13 and will take approx 7 hours or so.

We wanted to take a moment to inform you of a network maintenance, currently scheduled for Monday, October 13, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time (1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time). We expect this maintenance to last approximately 7 hours. During this time we will deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network.

If you’ve signed in to the network any time since October 8th, you will be able to play games online and access partner apps such as Netflix during this maintenance period. The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during this time, and users may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access these services.

That's cool you can still play online during maintenance. I got really worried because i have that day off from school.

PS4 unfortunately you cannot play online during any PSN maintenance you'll get messages saying you must subscribe to PlayStation Plus to use online features if you try any multiplayer on WATCH_DOGS BF4 & so on even Destiny will be useless as you won't be able to log-in on Destiny

When they've done this before I've been able to play Online without issues.

Even if it doesn't go 'smooth' I'm not that kind of guy who flips his toxic waste because I can't access PSN.

Although it does seem they tend to pick UK times as their maintenance time of choice as opposed to interrupting the USA for 7 hours. What will the American Squeaker children do when they can't attempt to 360 no scope and lose the game for everyone for seven hours.

Its always the same. I have to admit if it does go pare shaped then I'll be somewhat annoyed but its not the end of the world.

It's the 14th here in Australia, I'll check when I get home, but I used my ps4 today and I never saw any update

I've been trying to connect with my new PS4 but can't. Keep getting a error code: NW-31308-5

So yeah... can't even find anything about the error code online.

EDIT: Still no idea what that error code means, but I re-formated the PS4 and now I can get online
