Share button recording random clips and NOT what you were trying to record!

So, apparently with the new update some new problems...Surprised? There have been quite a few users complaining that with the current update, the Share button on the Dualshock 4 (DS4) controllers are recording random snippets of video and totally NOT the clips that you were trying to record. Has anyone experienced this with the newest update? If so, how random was the recording??

Users have been complaining about a bug that throws a wrench into the awesome concept- the Share button records the wrong footage. Irritated DS4 owners took to Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida's Twitter page, and the attentive head honcho is now well aware.

As you can see by the responses, he asked questions about whether or not it happens all the time, and which games it seems to affect. It appears that after the most recent system update, the Share button records totally random footage for some people. That's sort of a problem, especially if you've got a bad-ass segment of footage you're just dying to share with friends. Yoshida said he appreciated the feedback and it seems Sony is going to look into the problem.

I'm glad that their looking into this. I don't really use the Share button all that much, but I'd be interested in seeing what solution Sony comes up with and how widespread the problem is. BUt that's the thing with patches, they often cause just as many problems as they solve.

Never experienced any of this because so far I've never used the share feature yet. Unfortunate for those that like to upload videos online but at least Sony is looking into the problem. I'm sure a fix will emerge soon.

That would really suck to record a crappy part of a match and then when you do something like; kill the whole enemy team in search and destroy in less than 20 seconds in an uber multi-kill... that would make me angry.

I'm sure their working hard to fix the issue as soon as possible. Though I do wonder what about the update caused the glitch? I don't really use the share button so this doesn't really effect me all that much. But I do wonder how many people are affected by the issue. It would suck if I had a clip that I wanted to share and instead the game refused to record it.
