Should I get a ps4 at launch or should I wait

I think you should get it on launch date. That's if you really a gamer. I feel if you don't get it then you want be able to get it until after Christmas or sometime early next year.

Given that it will take some time for developers to be able to fully take advantage of the PS4 and learn to harness its capabilities to maximum effectiveness (although it won't take nearly as long as it did last-gen given that the CELL architecture of the PS3 apparently made it somewhat nightmarish to develop for), if you have patience and believe you can stand to wait, then hold off for a little while at least. Chances are that some of the enticing launch titles will have dropped in price over the years to come, and if you're lucky there might even be a new bundle or price-drop (doubtful regarding the latter, though) at some point in the future offering you more value. Plus, there are inevitably some issues when it comes to launching a new platform, be they hardware or software-related, so it might be an idea to wait it out until they've ironed out some of the kinks. As mentioned by a previous user, it may be a more strategic use of your time and resources to let early adopters trial run the console, only opting into a purchase when you are absolutely certain that you want one.

If you have other priorities, you should probably cater to them and purchase a PS4 later down the line. Otherwise, I guess there wouldn't be much harm in being an early adopter yourself unless Sony somehow butchers the launch.

Well, waiting would probably mean some of the bugs were worked out but it sounds like there is going to be a bit of a shortage and you might actually have trouble finding it right after release. Personally I am pre-ordering.

I would suggest you wait. What if there's kinks that still need to be worked on, you'll never know. Also, the price is more expensive at launch around $399 or so. I would wait a year or maybe less until the price drops a bit. However, if you're an impatient person, go ahead and enjoy your new PS4 at release.

It depends on whether or not you really want anything with the launch lineup. If you don't, then you should probably wait until there's a must-have game for you, but if the lineup really tickles your fancy, I say go for it. Just make sure you get a warranty in case of early-release bugs and breakdowns.

I would suggest you to get it at launch and not wait since it may be sold-out very fast and you will be struggling to find any available copy in your stores.

I would wait at least till christmas because then the prices may already drop. Plus there may be some more titles available.

Personally i would get it at launch. I am a avid gamer, so if there is a system or game that i want, i will try to get it immediately when it comes out.

I'm personally going to wait for a new version, or at least let the game library build up for a bit, but to be honest, for its price I wouldn't really mind too much buying it at launch. I was a lot firmer with my decision to wait at the time PS3 launched because that was godawfully expensive, but with this one the price is pretty fair IMO so I'd say just get one especially since you're already paying for PS+ anyway and it would be fun to test it out with the Vita.

If you have decided to buy the playstation 4 for you then you may buy it at any time, either at the launch or when it gets some old.
But I personally advice you to wait for some time, as many new devices are highly priced and its price lowers as time passes, moreover many devices have some bugs or faults in them which are corrected by the company after some time, so it will not be a bad idea if you wait a bit.

We all know that the new Playststion 4 is a monsterous gaming console and so is completely worth a buy.

I would say get it at launch because waiting for the ps4 after it launches just is painful. You see all those game plays and footage that look just awesome and eventually you would just give in and buy one yourself. So just getting one at launch really just cuts the process of waiting. Also it's really fun to talk about with friends and also join the hype train of how awesome it is.

I think if you actually have the money to put up, you should get it. Although if you don't have the money I think you should wait because if it will definitely decrease in price over time. I think it depends on how much money you actually have.

It really depends. If you are going to think about not having it every day, you might as well get it at launch. If you are content with the games you have now and think you can wait, then wait. In general, the best time to buy a console is 2-3 years in, after the kinks have been worked out and a solid library of games has been built.

I've purchased consoles at launch and I've waited for consoles. At the end of the day, it is your money, so do what you want.

So reasonable, so intelligent, so single? I'm proposing marriage my dear Dame - or you know messing with you because I imagine the reply to this will be totally worth it. One of those two things or a combination of them.. yes.
