So I can play videos from my phone though my PS3?

I noticed this feature on the YouTube app a couple nights ago when I was watching videos. Apparently, you can stream videos from your phone, through your PS3 and it will play on your TV. Anyone else hear about it? Has this been around for a while? Why am I just learning this now? And why does it only sometimes work, lol.

Either way, it is pretty cool considering I was thinking of getting Chrome Cast for the exact same reason.

I remember my brother mentioning something about this sometime after he got his PS3 and something DNLA being the main thing used in allowing your phone to do it. It's not something I would check into personally though, so I'm fuzzy on the details on how it works.

They should have made a fuss about it. Google is spending all this money on chromecast which does the same thing and its a pretty nifty feature. Plus, me and my girlfriend are always watching youtube videos on my phone (because searching with PS3's YouTube app is a little annoying). Anyone know if any of the other apps work from your phone? Actually, I'm gonna test this out now

I had no idea that this was even possible. Does anyone have the how-to on this one and can walk us through how to do it? I think it would be cool to be able to share videos with everyone by putting them up on the 60 inch LG rather than trying to show them on the small screen.

I don't know about that could you explain how it is done. I never really heard about something like this being possible but it would be cool if it could be done and if you could give us like a little tutorial on how it is done. Thanks.
