I recently upgraded the 500GB drive in my PS4 to a 1TH Hybrid drive and it works fine.
NOW the interesting part...... I have just seen a WD 1TB + 120GB SSD 2.5 internal drive and am thinking of upgrading the current hybrid to this!!!
Will this work? Has anyone else tried it...? Worked? Didn't work?

Just seen it is not a hybrid but 2 drives in one. Sorry for the confusion. I will stick with my current drive.
