Some info/ help needed please

Hi everyone

Just after some info please as am not clued up much on this stuff.

Am thinking of buying my son a playstation 4. I was just wondering whether there was any plans to bring out a playstation 5 anytime soon because obviously I don't want to fork out the money and then a brand new console comes out a couple of months down the line

unless sony turns into nintendo, this wont happen for awhile. the ps4 still has last gen titles

PS4 is still very new, and the PS3 has not even been discontinued yet. It will be a while before the PS5 comes out.

PS5 would be released around 2020 if they keep the cycle similar to previous gens.
So go ahead and get a PS4, the brilliant days are still ahead.
