I understand that the new 1.60 update now supports the Sony brand headsets. I purchased one a while back Sony Elite Pulse and I am trying to figure out how to connect it to my PS4. Can someone please break this down Barney style for me please? Thank you very much!
Plug the Pulse's dongle into one of the PS4 USBs
Boot up the PS4 and switch on the headset
The end of the dongle should have a blue light and the headset will do a long beep when its connected to the PS4
Then I found I also had to do this:-
Continuously press the Home button on the controller until you get some options on a blue screen
The 1st Option is 'Adjust Devises' - click that
You should see a new option group one of which is 'Output to Headphones' - click that
Mine seem to have been set to 'Chat Audio' by default
Change it to 'All audio' - you may now hear some sound from the PS4 - in that case go back to the Home screen and continue with your life
OR - if still no sound
Go back to the Home screen and you should here sound from the headset if you have 'System music' and/or 'Key tone' selected in the Settings/Sound and Screen section
(To get to the settings tab - scroll up to the top set of options on the main 'Home' screen)
OR just go into a game and check for sound there
