Sony states that 48% of all Vita purchases are Digital

But there’s more to report. For starters, nearly half of PS Vita’s game sales – 48 percent, to be exact – are digital. Sony also reports that nearly 1,000 games are currently on PS Vita, though this certainly counts PSone Classics and digital PSP titles.

And then there’s PS Vita’s relationship to PlayStation 4. A full 1-in-3 Vita owners also own a PlayStation 4, and 250,000 of those gamers have tried Remote Play. The three biggest games used via Remote Play are Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, NBA 2K14, and Don’t Starve.

Definitely cool that the PS4's success seems to be helping the Vita and vice versa. Personally, I'm waiting for Vita TV to come stateside before I get into the Vita action.

For portable digital makes sense to me and I figure it would be higher than 48% as it's just convenient given that you're moving around constantly and would like to move from game to game when bored.

I tend to get all my games digital. The problem is saving all of that stuff. You really have to select what you believe you can run with for a significant amount of time. As for PS Vita, I also thought the number would be larger.

I also get all my games on portable digital. I like to have all my games ready in one place when I'm out going from point A to B to C and all of that.

Exactly. I mean I prefer physical for home consoles, but since I take my 3DS everywhere I go with digital. It works, really.

48% is a good number. It would probably be 60%-70% if those memory cards weren't so damn expensive.

The memory cards will drop to something manageable...sometime down the line. That's not saying much at all, though.

Nah, that's not saying much. It's guaranteed that the price will drop eventually. Sony has to be aware that the memory cards aren't wallet friendly and there's a ton of stuff on the Vita worth getting.
