Soul Reaver (PS1)

Another great game though I never got really warm with it. It was big but somehow I missed something. The atmosphere was nice but it was somehow so lonely there.

I liked the game but just because of the cool abilities that the main protagonist Raziel can do. However, the environments in itself are a mixed bag. The environments look very bleak and empty. I also share how you feel where the game feels so lonely. It's still a great game though.

I never played the first one, and the second one was on the PC, but for what i have played, it was pretty awesome. The setting and characters were really cool, with the whole dimension phasing and the gameplay was really solid. Got to try this one sooner or later.

You know what? I like the intro of the game where Kain looks at the wings of Raziel. He circles him, goes to his back, and obviously envious, rips the wings of Raziel and casts him into the bottomless pit where his flesh is scorched. I found that intro to be so cool.

The intro and cut scenes were awesome but I felt like the game was kind of empty. I liked the idea of it but there were games that I liked far better.

Legacy of Kain felt so much fuller with more to do. The graphics on this one also haven't aged as well as the sprite based graphics of the first one. Still, a great choice in the PSX library.
