Split Screen Microphones

I have done hours of research and not found out a answer to this. My brother and I play split screen on Call of Duty Ghosts and we both have Bose Headsets with microphones on them. We try to play things like extinction where you want to have a lot of people talking to communicate. We are unable to tell if our mics are working though. We assume that they are not because when we talk, the little mic does not show up and sometimes, the mic symbol will appear in the corner. It will flash for a few seconds and disappear. I really want to know if this is a glitch, or if it was made purposely. Thanks for all of the help.

Why don't you try playing a match of extinction, king of the hill, or whatever with a friend in your party and have them tell you if he can hear you and your brother? That would be the quickest way to see if your mics are working on their end IMO.

Thanks but I already tried and nobody would answer me. I also don't have any friends with PS4s because they were not lucky enough to get it in a store.

Well, crap. I guess you could just keep waiting until you find a game where someone actually speaks?

Well, I figured out that only player 1 can talk by going into a party with my bro. Can Sony please fix this!
