I played Spyro for the first time on the original Playstation. I loved it and I still wish that the newer games were like the PS1 version. I tried playing one of the newer ones and I just couldn't get into it the same way.
I agree, the newer Spyro games just aren't as good as the originals. I think it's because of the gameplay, mostly-- don't you think it's harder to do stuff in the newer games than in the older ones?
I also agree, I prefer the Original Spyro the Dragon for Playstation. I highly recommended this classic game to anyone. The graphics in this game isn't the best, but the gameplay is so addicting collecting gems and freeing my fellow dragons.
Never played a Spyro the Dragon game in my life. I saw some screenshots and reviews from different gaming magazines before but I was never compelled to buy. Was the original Spyro better than Crash Bandicoot 3? If so, then I guess I'll have to revisit the game by downloading its ROM and playing it on my emulator.
I loved the game. I played it the mostly on my PS1, and had most hours logged into it. I forgot what the storyline was, and what kind of gameplay it had to it so I did a quick google search. Memories are flooding back to my brain, and there were so many worlds you can visit which was awesome. I would replay it if I had to time to.
I can't really get into the 3D platformers like I used to. I always liked Spyro, but honestly I can't really remember which games I've played. I know my friend and I used to play the Gamecube one because his console came with it in a bundle, but I don't think I've played any since then.
