Standby Mode question

When I turned my ps4 on this evening there was (another) Ghosts update file downloading. It had only started but I thought that when in standby mode this should have already updated. Does anyone know if this is correct?

As a side topic, what is with these 2GB+ update files on Ghosts? I don't remember this with any other cod game.

That's what I though too. I thought updates download during standby mode but in mine they do not. I am connected to the internet through LAN cable. Can anybody explain this?

Update files are fixes for bugs or minor additional contents to the game I presume. I had updates to almost every game I bought, first time I played them.

Yes PS4 will download your downloads and updates when on Standby.
You have to enable the option in settings though.
Go to settings stand by and allow downloads or something like that.

As far as I know I do have all settings correct. I'll have to look up exactly what they should be and double check.

I know we get updates for games but I've never known them to be this size (2Gb+).
