Still having slow loading friends list (help)

I have searched for a solution to this but everything seems to be from last year and there are people saying it was fixed as of october last year. Well for me it's not the case, anything from sending party invited to seeing whos online to viewing notifications loads really slow. Like roughly 2/3 minuets then it times out and I hit refresh it comes up instantly.

I have tried messing with different DNS servrs and that doesnt help I should mention I don't exactly have a slow internet either being BT infinity and get around 32 MBs. I have also tried using ethernet cable instead of wifi no still no luck.

What I have only just found out after going to a friends for some a gaming session is that on his network I don't have this problem and everything loads smoothly..


any ideas on why my network does this with my ps4?

Is everything slow or just that? How does online game play and downloading games work?

I know whenever I mess with my router or network settings I only make things worse so I would try resetting all that and using the auto settings in the PS4.

Hi sorry for the slow reply

The weird thing is nothing else is slow or unresponsive, the downloads might be slower than what my pc speed gets but it's able to do multi gig games within a few hours. The gameplay is also fine the only noticable thing I get is, every time I load destiny it will always disconnect after character select back to the title screen but only the once! then it will work fine until I either log out or restart.

Yeah Im currently using default settings on the wifi setup with a wpa & wpa 2 surcurity on the router.
it's BT inifinity home hub 3.0 type B

Just tried it round anouther friends house and all the friends list functions loads fine there too, Im completely stumped as to it barely works on my home network..

I had several connection problems, similar to yours, before I changed from Wi-Fi to Ethernet. Might it be also your case?

Hi having the same problem with my ps4 and I'm with Virgin broadband so not sure why this happening it's so annoying

I don't know if anyone else also has an Xbox One, but on the same network wifi or wired the Xbox One speeds are 2-3x what the PS4 gets.

Not sure why the PS4 is so much slower, it has to be hardware I guess as its the same with wifi or wired.

same here holy cow! exactly as you said. been going on for over a month, im also using a home hub 3.0, have tried a wired connection and still doesnt work, please let me know if you find a solution

FIXED GUYS!!! i had the hub 3 and rang up bt and told them that the hub 3.0 is not compatible with ps4 anyore they exchanged it after a bit of hassle free for a hub5.0 can safely say that it has fixed the issue friends list loads instantly aswell as party chat and all other issuess are long gone... so happy right now
