Tablets

I've been wanting more and more to get a tablet, especially since they seem to be decently-priced now compared to a few years ago. The Galaxy Tab looks really good, for instance! Does anyone here have a tablet? Do you find it useful?

I don't but I'm thinking of getting an iPad2 - why not right? I think Apple is a great brand and product. My mom has the original iPad and she loves it. I bet you can find a great deal on those now! I've never heard of the Galaxy Tab - is it close to the Apple iPad?

I am not too sure, on buying a tablet. In fact, I am not really sure what all a tablet can do. Anyone care to enlighten me? I do like Apple products, so I would probably go with an Apple.

Not me. I don't need something smaller, it'd take a magnifying glass to read with these old eyes. I wouldn't mind playing with one to check them out though.

Think of a tablet as basically like a small computer monitor, with a touchscreen instead of a keyboard. You can do most (or all, maybe) of the things you do on a computer on a tablet, including games, videos, and typing stuff.

I really don't see a reason for me to get a tablet yet. I'm content with my laptop. I might end up getting one just because it's the thing to do. I would probably get an iPad just because I've heard the best things about it.

I have an Acer tablet (the Iconia Tab W500) and it's pretty good. I decided to get this one because I don't get along too well with the Android OS, and the iPad 2 was too expensive. It runs on Windows 7 and it even has two cameras. Maybe I'll get the iPad 3 when it is released next year...

Acer is a good brand, so I checked out the Iconia Tab W500 on Amazon. I was all set to get a laptop, but I just might pick up this tablet instead. One comment that particularly caught my eye was how the screen was brighter and more detailed. That's one concern I had about tablets versus PCs.

How is the Acer tablet? I have had bad experiences with Acer laptops in the past so I'm kind of wary about getting an Acer tablet, especially with them being so new and expensive, you know?

I didn't know there were tablets that ran on Windows! I was under the impression that it was all Android/iOS. How fast is your tablet?
