That "Now what" kind of feeling.

I know we've all been through this. That kind of feeling after you just finished a game where in you dedicated your time and days finishing and now it's all over kind of feeling. I really hate this feeling, maybe that's the reason my I'm AWOL on most of my games cause I don't want it to end just yet. But I guess you can't delay the inevitable.

yeah know what you mean. I just spent 23 and a half hours to complete the Resident Evil 4 game for the first time. Enjoyed it and now think... now what... Started playing Lost Planet 3... 2 hours in... s'ok.

I know the feeling, but i got a cure for that. Everytime i start playing a new game, i just have another one lined up. For example, i was playing Hitman Absolution, but when i finished it, i had COD Ghosts lined up already. The excitement of starting the new game takes away the depression of finishing the last one. Works for me.

I line up a game while playing another usually, While playing tlou I had assassins creed 4 already on the shelf waiting, tomb raider was on sale so I have that on the shelf for when AC4 is done.
I know the feeling you speak of that's for sure, but usually by the end of the game I'm looking forward to the next one.
I don't focus all my time on 1 game either, I try to play 1 story based game and one shooter at the same time, aswell as a couple "arcade" type games (Lego games, trials fusion, need for speed)

I love finish a game and having another game lined up.. I always have another game lined up.. MUH STEAM BACKLOG..

I know that feeling, especially when after I finish a game I think to myself what else can I do with the game. Which is why I'm always on the lookout for new games. Usually when you have the feeling of "now what?" it means that you're starting to feel burned out with gaming. Taking a break might refresh your interest.

I have enough stuff backlogged that this usually doesn't affect me...

I did finish ACIV 7 hours before Watch Dogs came out and preordered it and went to the midnight launch to fill the hole.

I sometimes feel like this but not often because I often have what I call 'gap fillers' either Indie titles or multiplayer games that I can go into so I don't get that feeling.

I tend to only get that feeling with games I haven't enjoyed.

I can truthfully say that only a small handful of games have ever given me that feeling:

Tomb Raider 2
Silent Hill 2
GTA5
The Last Of Us
(Maybe Resident Evil 2, too)

I actually had what I believe to be full-on withdrawal symptoms for weeks after completing The Last Of Us…!

More often than not these days, it's the other way around. My resounding feeling when completing a game is usually "was that it?!". Sadly, I put a lot of this down to the dominance of multiplayers these days and forgetting there are people out there who still much prefer single player modes and/or don't do online gaming, or have limited/restricted access to the internet.
