The Sims 3

I'm a big fan of the Sims games, most recently Sims 3. I haven't tried the expansions yet but I imagine they are decent. I haven't played in a while. Does anybody else here play the Sims games? I've considered getting the Medieval one but I'm not sure yet.

I've got Sims 3 for my iPhone and I really like it. I also got the World Adventure expansion pack (I think that's what it's called, anyway), but I haven't played it yet. I really want to try out the Medieval one as well, but I don't think it's available for the iPhone yet, is it?

Thanks for sharing Mino. Can you share more about the Sims 3 on the iPhone? Is there a story line or is it pretty free, like on the computer? Is there really a lot you can do on the game or is it just kind of a sample of the computer game?

Do you guys worry about going blind someday from playing games on such a small screen? Maybe it's because I'm older but I know how bad eyesight gets as you age. (And no, I didn't mean literally blind.)

I play Sims 3 as well and I have three expansions: Ambitions, Late Night, and World Adventures. I like the World Adventures pack because of the puzzles I need to solve to finish a goal.

I've got all of the expansions, including the new pets one that just came out. I'm kind of addicted to the series. I never buy the "Stuff Packs", though. I can download lots of cool items that other users have made online for free, instead of paying for the EA-made ones.

MsKong - I think most people play Sims on the computer so I don't think it's an issue. I don't know about playing it on the phone though.

How is the pet expansion? Do you get to play as the pets? Is it better than the pet expansion for Sims 2? I'm really interested in it. Oh, also, is it just cats and dogs?

The new expansion is great. :) You can control the pets just like you do other Sims, and along with dogs and cats, you get horses as well!

I have not played The Sims in a while, but I use to enjoy it on my PC. How is the gameplay on an Iphone versus a PC? I might have to download it for my Iphone, but I think I would like it better on my laptop.

Zenon, I think it would be better on a laptop. I think the iPhone version is going to be very simple. You will have more options on the laptop. I also think that the phone version might have more of a storyline but I'm not sure of that.

I think I will stick to a laptop for The Sims. I can only imagine myself getting ticked off, trying to play on an IPhone's tiny screen. Unless, someone can convince me, otherwise. I wonder what all has changed with gameplay, since I last played?

I think the Sims 3 has a lot more interactions. The characters can talk to each other differently about different topics. You sort of have to match interests. You can also take a walk through the neighborhood and visit the neighbors. I really want to play the pet expansion.

The neighborhood is a lot more open and alive in the third one; you can walk or drive anywhere in town with no loading screens, and the town is alive around you. People grow older, move away, get married, etc. etc.
