The Wolf Among Us and Walking Dead release window annouced

So it looks like both seasons of The Walking Dead will be coming to PS4 and Xbox one in October sometime, with The Wolf Among Us following in November. Apparently physical retail versions for PS3,Vita and Xbox 360 will be coming out at roughly the same time.

What do you guys think? I'm about done with the first couple seasons of Walking Dead, if I need to play them again because choices will affect season 3 I'll play through it again then, but I may pick up The Wolf Among Us. Possibly for Vita, maybe PS4.. I dunno.

Seriously, i played the demo of walking dead and found it dull. I just couldn't bond with the characters. ( zombie games just don't do it for me either )

In your esteemed opinion... is the wolf among us series better or worse than the walking dead ??

I'm not above playing to the crowd. I never played The Wolf Among Us yet, so I honestly have no idea. The Walking Dead largely plays like garbage, if it wasn't for Clementine I wouldn't be a fan.

I'm a huge fan of Telltale Games 'The Walking Dead'. It's one of those games which I really can't get enough of. Strictly in my opinion, it's been one of the best story driven games out there that I've seen in a good number of years. Telltale games have made an absolute gem here, in my opinion. I found myself bonding with the vast majority of the characters and I can say there's only been two, possibly three side/lesser members that I've felt absolutely nothing for over the course of both seasons. I'm really looking forward to season three.

As for The Wolf Among Us, I've only got limited experience simply because I just didn't 'get it' and never bothered continuing past the first few episodes. I know it has many fans, but it just wasn't something for me.

Zombies aren't really my thing, but I've been considering The Wolf Among Us for a while now. Loved the Fables comic back in the day but lost track of it over the years.

Try as I might, I cannot get into these games. I have a difficult time playing games that present "choices" to me and then attempts to play them off as if they are/were indeed my choices and not me choosing from some subset of pre-determined algorithms.

I have played both series on my PC and my PS3. i am not going to buy them once more, but I am glad that those who haven't played it yet are going to get a chance to play it finally. You guys are going to love it.

I don't think these are the types of games where most exclusive content would even work...

Exclusive content would definitely not work for these games. The best they can do is something like they did when they announced the Vita version of The Walking Dead. They announced the 400 Days DLC then and said it would be included on the new version, but would be paid DLC for the others. That's the only way it can work for these kind of games.

BTW, those that don't like The Walking Dead should still try out The Wolf Among Us. Some people find it superior. I personally like the completely bleak shitfest setting of TWD more than WAU, but WAU was still pretty damn good.

I have never played the walking dead, but my friend said it was so good it made him cry. I might pick it up for ps4 to give it a try.

Neat, but they already came out on PC and I played em. There's no rerelease that could be better.
