The Xbox One Can Tell When It's Overheating, and Adjusts to Fix It

An interesting piece of news has surface regarding Microsoft's upcoming system the Xbox One. Microsoft announced a while back that the reason for the Xbox One's large design was that it could help keep the system from easily overheating. Now it appears that in the case of which the system does overheat, it will automatically adjust itself in order to cool down.

...I hate these guys. Instead of making a system that fixes overheating - make a system that doesn't overheat. That seems like the better course to take, but obviously I'm just not getting it or something. Seriously though - you don't hear Nintendo and Sony making these kinds of announcements.

But of course, so that when that system gets problems, the console ends up over heating and the costumers end up with a RROD'ed console from the new generation.

They might want to consider making a system that doesn't overheat in the first place .... just a humble suggestion.

It's a nice feature to have that it can detect, "Hey, I'm on fire" but that's really addressing the symptom, not the pain.

It's like when they stopped "Red Rings of Death" by taking out the Red LED. Way to fix the original problem, guys.
