Thoughts on Strider? Free PS+ Game July.

Is Strider worth DLing?

Looks interesting and I'm not playing a lot of games. Tried Towerfall but not my cup of tea. For those that don't know, TF and Strider are the free PS Plus games for July. Anyway, what say you PS4 forum?

It's been 20 or so years since I've played a Strider game. I wasn't aware it was free this month. Going to download it cause, hey! You can't beat free!

It's very worth getting. Especially if it's free. I paid full price for it, and I don't feel bad about that at all.

I played it and it actually is pretty fun. It's not groundbreaking, but it's one of the better PS+ offerings so far IMO. It has very good artwork and the abilities are nice to use. This is coming from someone who doesn't play/like sidescrollers a lot. Hard is hard as hell though! (Obviously...)

Anyone have any thoughts on this game? Personally I do like how it seems more grounded compared to some of the more crazy indie titles we've had but ultimately the game does get boring quickly. I thought about doing it for the trophies but I soon realised it doesn't hold much appeal, even for trophy hunters.

Anyone else's thoughts?

Had a quick go,its an OK new game revival of an old game. :p
Worth a download and play I think.
Personally though these types of games don't hold my interest for long.

Personally I dislike the game as it was a bit too repetitive and clunky for my taste.
However, it is a free game and it's worth a download, its not like it will cost you anything other than a couple of minutes waiting for the download :)

I absolutely love this game. I bought it when it was first released and regret nothing. An absolute must have, must play, game in my opinion. @Killer, clunky? It is as smooth as butter. I have never heard anyone call it clunky...

Wait, so it's free? Well that pretty much settles it then. Unless you're really strapped for time in your daily life, why not just try it out?

I have been watching a ton of retro video game videos on YouTube lately and strider seems to always be mentioned. I have seen some game play of Strider 2 myself and I have to admit that it looks like a fun game to play. The good thing is if you happen to dislike the game at least it didn't cost you anything.
