Thousand Arms is a PS1 RPG that combined 2D character sprites with 3D environments. It also had a unique forging system where you had to upgrade your weapons. And, it also had a dating mini game which played out like a text-based adventure which helped the player gain "Spirit" in order to be able to forge more powerful weapons. It's a very quirky and fun RPG to play. Too bad I never finished it. Maybe I'll try to go over it once more one of these days.
