To get the white PS4 or not to get the white PS4.....

Here I am ready to finally buy one, as I now have the money, and Sony throws a curveball to my plan at E3. After they announced the Destiny bundle with the white PS4, now I'm confused. Figured I'd get a consensus here. What would you do, white PS4 or black? Discuss

Honestly, I would LOVE the white one. So there's my vote. And think about it, in a couple/few years - they might be rare to find! And you would be a proud owner

I already have the black one and love it! matches the whole theater system perfectly, because the table, the TV, the HTS, the woofer, the satellite receiver... everything is black. Some of them are piano black, some of them matte, so the black PS4 perfectly blends in.

Having said that, the PS4 white version looks so classy and kinda sci-fi'ish.
You should consider this though, after a while it wont be so white anymore, it will look a bit dirty and yellowish, which can ruin the amazing look of the white PS4.

My wii sticks out like a sore thumb. It's the only white thing on my entertainment cabinet. Unless you don't care about it clashing with everything I would go with the black

I've waited this long. Couldn't hurt to wait a little longer.

Do you really think the plastic will yellow over time? I feel like plastic has come a long way in the last 20 years.

I'm too lazy to research them, pick one out and put it on. Too much effort.

It really is a dilemma for me, lol. One reason to go black is my TV stand is black. My PS3 is black, my cable box is black and my TV is black. PS2 is grey though . White would be a nice break but would stand out hella more. The white one might get dirty but you can definitely tell the fine film of dust on my PS3 so in reality probably wouldn't matter. The white PS4 would be more unique. Not everyone has it and it could be rare one day (not that I would sell it anyway, nor get a lot of money for it). Decisions decisions.

I would honestly say go for the black because I mean the black PS is just for tradition and it looks really cool. If you want to be different I guess you can go ahead and get the white one. Its really your choice though.

Black hides the dirt and dust better IMO. Plus, black is slick and timeless. I do want that white controller though. If you're fine with not playing the whole summer then get the bundle. I personally couldn't do that lol. Most of the big games of this year come out during the fall.

I wouldn't say the black hides dust any better. I have my PS3 in front of my TV on a TV stand and I can see from here (my computer) the layer of dust on the console and I didn't clean it all that long ago. Now my silver PS2 never really showed dust. If anything, black is worse for hiding dust because dust is lighter than black. Same principle with a black car. Its tough to keep those clean (and I would know that. My Jeep is black )

My Sky Box is white and I can see the dust as well. So white and black isn't exactly great for hiding dust.

Just getting hold of ...a... PS4 should be an option, there…!

Personally speaking, everything else barring my laptop's printer in the room is black/dark grey, so it would be a bit silly if I were to get a white PS4. It seems just a bit 'gimmicky' to me.

Matt black does hide the dust slightly better than white but gloss black is about the worst possible surface you can get with regards to cleanliness. I have a gloss black computer desk and a gloss black stand that I sit my on. Both attract dust like no other. I can give it a wipe over with a duster and I can guarantee you within a day it looks as if it's never been cleaned…

I think it makes it look cooler by not making it uniformally white actually. It would look like an albino controller lol.

I hope Sony releases different designs on the controller soon. Too lazy to paint it myself and I need a new controller for couch coop.

Yeah. Not so sure about a white controller. My blue PS3 controller has enough grime on it. I don't need to see the disgustingness on a white one lol.

You can get a black controller for regular playing and you can use the white one only on special occasion
