I've seen around 35/40 minutes of it on YouTube so far (I don't have a PS4 yet - that's likely to be turning up in January as things stand).
Offering no spoilers, I'm generally impressed with it and you do quite literally get thrown in at the deep end. There's been several 'heart in throat' moments already and in terms of gore…yep...! It most certainly has it! It's started off quick-paced and if the rest of the game is only two thirds as good as the opening 35/40 minutes that I've seen – you've got the recipe for a decent and respectable horror title, here… It gets a provisional thumbs up from me.
The best way I can describe it is like an earlier Resident Evil game in terms of the 'over the shoulder' camera angle and the general feel is Silent Hill-esq in outright bizarreness the more I watched of it. A decent combination if you ask me – pretty much exactly on how horror games used to be and how they should still be in my humble opinion. If you're not too fond of the near outright survival element of Alien : Isolation (which I also rate highly based on what I've seen of it) and want a little more action to go along with it, then this game should be for you.
Obviously, I can't comment at all on how it plays or feels like as things stand. It may be good, it may be pants – I really don't know. I can only comment on the game purely as a spectator.
I'll watch another half an hour or so's worth of footage before deciding whether it's also a game I want when the time comes for me to upgrade to the PS4 (possibly in a bundle if available…), but I think my heart is near enough set on it already…! If not in a bundle then I'll probably buy it separately a little further down the line when the price starts to drop.

I've been watching footage of this for so long that I feel like Ive played a lot of the game Lol I haven't actually started playing yet, at some point today I will tho. Can't wait!

Well after 3 hours, I've completed 5 chapters on survival mode. I gotta say, this game is fun and difficult. I love that it really has a RE/silent hill type feel to it. Controls are a lil weird at first(might be bc I've been playing destiny since it came out) but you get used to them quickly.
The only thing I don't like is that the whole game is in wide screen. Stupid black bars on top and bottom of the screen. Wish they can somehow update that so you can change it if ya want to.
Other than that, I love this game. An awesome challenging survival horror game at its finest!
