Total gaming Newb to be..Hellooo!

My name is Mary and I'm a Vegan weightlifting Equestrian animal activist and I am planning on getting a gaming system...leaning toward PS4 (Several friends love it).
What is the best starting point? Any little extras (cooling thingie... monitors...ANY advice)? I am thinking of getting a web cam recorder since it will no doubt be a hilarious adventure.
Like ZERO game experience other than watching game play throughs Lol

No real extra's are neccessary to buy with a PS4 console in my opinion.
As you mentioned though,if you like the camera then ofcourse get that.

Optional extra's that are not neccessary may be a charge dock,or longer charge cables so you can still play while charging.
Perhaps a better headset for chat,you may or may not need that depending on your multiplayer gaming habits.
Also perhapos swap the stock 500GB HDD out for a larger one,many have done this (including me) as game installs and downloads can be quite large so you may wanna do this from the start,rather than waiting for a year or 2. Up to you.
