Twisted Metal

I got so addicted at this game and I think it deserve its own thread.

Which Twisted Metal games have you played?
Which Twisted Metal game is your favorite?
Who are your favorite cars/chars?
Have you used the cheat codes?

I have played Twisted Metal 1 to 4, Twisted Metal: Small Brawl, and little of Twisted Metal Black.
My favorite would be Twisted Metal 4 and second favorite would be Twisted Metal 3. Twisted Metal Black just seems to dark to me, literally. So I wasn't able to play it much.

My favorite car is on Twisted Metal 4 - General Warthog. His special weapon is the one where you place an ion pad at the ground, and you can detonate it any time. I think his special weapon is the only one that requires strategy.

My second favorite is on Twisted Metal 3 - Club Kid. His special weapon is a vortex, it spins on the ground and vacuums all nearby cars.

I have used cheat codes after finishing the game. My favorite would be the one where you have unlimited Special Weapon. Especially in Twisted Metal 3, I would use Club Kid and put a lot of vortex everywhere.

I love Twisted Metal. When I first played it I locked myself away for a few hours and had a hell of a time. I woud listen to music and ultimately piss my folks off with how loud the killing got. I don't even really know what strategy I was using, I just knew I was having a blast!

Haha I had the same experience. Along with the character screaming when they die, there are also loud explosions from the weapons and a loud background music. Rob Zombie isn't my favorite but his music really suits the game perfectly.

There was also this nice background music in Twisted Metal 4 in the Oil Rig stage, which was actually just an instrumental version of And Some Ya Lose by One Minute silence

So thanks to Twisted Metal I found another decent band. Sadly, I can't post a link yet.

I got addicted to this too, along with my buddies. I don't remember which particular versions we all played anymore, since they all are pretty much the same and equally awesome, but if I had to guess it would have to have been the first/first few ones on the PS1 and I played the PSP version as well. I probably got to use all the characters and cheats and have also probably gotten to try pretty much everything on the versions I did get to play.

Sirs and Madams, Twisted Metal is a classic. I played Twisted Metal 1, 2 and 3. Didn't play the rest that much because I started getting into PC games. My favorite would be Twisted Metal 2. Favorite character in Twisted Metal 2 is Mr. Slam. He may be slow, but he packs a punch with his Special move. I did use cheats after the game. I just unlocked Sweet Tooth and Minion and used Godmode to go on rampage.

I don't really remember 1 and 2 much. I just know the graphics were still crappy and there was a hot girl in an F1 car. The gameplay is still enjoyable nonetheless. I remember in gradeschool, I would play Twisted Metal 2 in the computer room, and I get told off by the teacher. I wonder why do they even have that game installed. Anyway, it sucks to think that Twisted Metal 2 is the only one that actually has a legit PC version. I would love to play the new Twisted Metal 2012 on PC.

I have played Twisted Metal 2 to 4 on the PS 1. I loved part 2 but I hated 3 and 4. The arenas in 3 were small and uninspired. And the controls sucked. In TM4, the Arenas were quite huge but I got dizzy after a few minutes into the game. I also hated the characters and their endings. I liked Twisted Metal black for the PS 2 and the Twisted Metal for the PS 3. I think that the PS 3 version captured the look and feel of the game perfectly. The story was as dark and twisted as one would hope on the PS 3.

I played Twisted Metal 2, 3, and 4, and out of those games, I pick 4 as my personal favorite. I enjoyed playing Calypso and his Nuke Mobile in TW4, as it can destroy small opponents as well as greatly damage those still standing. Of course, I never go out unprepared, which is why I will always have cheats ready.

I have a lot of fond memories of the Twisted Metal games. I think I first played Twisted Metal 2 when a friend gave me his copy, and then I eventually bought TM 4 and played that quite a bit. I know that I had Twisted Metal Black, and I did like it, but I remember so little about it. I really want to play the newest Twisted Metal game (especially now that it's gone down in price), just to get back into the swing of things. I know the franchise has come a long way since back then, but I'm always open to new experiences.

All of them. Me and my Dad would sit on the couch for hours and play Twisted Metal 1 on the PlayStation 1 and it was fun...I really miss it though. It was my childhood.

Twisted Metal Black was my favorite ad Sweet Tooth was my driver of choice. When TM1 came out I scoffed because I really hate racing games, but it was like Carmaggedon--which I liked--only there was like no emphasis on racing. I really dig the Twisted Metal series.
