Twitch or Ustream ?

I used to play a lot of League of Legends. Pro players tends to stream on Twitch. So I would go for Twitch. But does anybody have some experience with Ustream ? Who's on it ?

Ustream is occupied by japanese guys playing MGS V. Twitch is better for English speaking.
Besides there's plenty of nonsens folks showing their rooms and doing nothing on Ustream. I definitely recommend Twitch.

I've only ever used Ustream during cons, because some people use it and give a sort of back stage version of the event. Otherwise, I'd say stick to Twitch with everyone else.

I only use Ustream for Japanese wrestling iPPVs. It's more of a causal type thing like Justin.TV. For gaming I'd go with Twitch (owned by Justin.TV) or hell, even Justin.TV if you want more of a laid back room.

My only complaint about twitch is it doesn't archive if you broadcast from the PS4 itself. I hope they fix that soon so I can go back and watch my games, or download them.

Yeah, I think this is one of the features of the upcoming patch due to this week (I think). Twitch archiving is something people have been clamoring for, myself included. Does Ustream really have a noticeable Japanese presence?

You know, I know that a gaming scene exists on Ustream, but I've never actually poked my head in. Usually when I drop by Ustream it's lifecasting and music. There's a Japanese presence for gaming and pro wrestling with smaller companies using it to broadcast their shows at times. Three years ago it was mostly lifecasting and cable channel streaming on soccer and North American football days where feeds would slow down.

I would recommend Twitch if you are in America also.

There are more America's broadcasting there. But do not expect any kind of privacy. your stream is going to be available to any, and everyone of may be lurking. Twitch does not allow you to make streams private at all.

So be sure not to put any personal information out there.

I've never really got into this streaming malarky at all. Occasionally I'll go to Youtube if I get stuck in a game.

Maybe when there are more titles to choose from and I'm trying to decide what to buy it could be handy.

Twitch is less for trying to figure out how to get through a game and more for figuring out if you should buy it/entertainment while playing a game than Youtube--especially if you don't mind spoilers.

I like Twitch a lot better for the simple fact that it seems like there are more english speaking people on that platform, and I speak English

Twitch is also pretty nice to learn how to play a game. That's the reason MOBAs like LoL and DotA are tops in viewers consistently-people try to emulate streamers who are good. I mainly use Twitch if I'm interested in a game, and you can ask the streamer how the game is and how they feel about it.

I usually put Twitch on and just watch enjoy it (especially if the caster can hold my attention and is engaging with their chatroom). If you aren't talking with the chatroom there's really little reason to have the camera showing you up.
