Ubisoft still believes in Vita and Wii U

Ubsoft has stated that they still have their faith instilled in Vita and Wii U and will produce more content for these platforms in future -

“We were very pleasantly surprised by Sony’s last push on the Vita. Decreasing the price and investing a lot in new IP and trying to use the Vita as a second screen for the PS4, all of that gives a lot of advantages for the future of the Vita,” he said.

“We’re watching that space and making sure that our PS4 games work on Vita, so the global experience on PS4 is even better.”

Ubisoft is really becoming better and better by the days. They always made quality games, no doubt about that. But their practices weren't always that great. First there was the DMR fiasco then the online pass.

But recently they've really changed for the better and all these practices are really going to go a long way. It's nice to see they're not making BS excuses like other companies and supporting all platforms equally.

I think that the Vita is going to be quite popular when the PS 4 has its full debut. The idea that I can play on the TV while my friend can play a game on the Vita, really steals the Wii U thunder. That's fine too, because the Wii U isn't that great by my thoughts. I think that Sony should eat up that market. I mean, we all need a new Zelda and Mario game every so often, but the technology isn't that interesting, but when I saw the Vita doing it with the PS 4 news, I thought it was something special. The price is higher to get two systems, but it could be really impressive.

That is nice of them, specially for keeping support of the system, even thought it had a rough start. I just wish more third party companies followed the example and planned more games for the system.

Ubsifot is hands down the best third party publisher and game developer right now. They have a huge catalog of games that I wanna bu right away. I would rate them above companies like Valve (worthless nowadays), EA, Activision, Square Enix and Konami.

Ubifit has a lot of mind-blogging games like THe Crew, The Division, Watch Dogs and Assassins Creed 4 in development right now.

We can't predict what people want and what they don't. I think, we should only talk about what we want and what we don't. I for one would love to see Wii U and Vita succeed.

The Vita is definitely here to the stay and the Wii U will get revitalized in 2014. Have you guys seen the Wii U's line-up for 2014? There's Smash Bros. 4 and Super Mario 3D World, to name two system sellers.

Well of course Ubisoft is going to say something positive regarding their launch platforms. Even with these being genuine comments on the Vita and WiiU I think it's still up to them to sell us their product. They have to find a way to reach more people and make them care. I wish them the best because I'm all about games but there needs to be a breakthrough.

I don't see why - I've bought both those products because they are both interesting and fun concepts with a lot of potential. I bought the Vita when it dropped, and I bought the WiiU when it dropped and I have yet to regret that. Besides with the advent of 2014 it's going to be a good time. So yeah.

Well, the Vita would need all the support from third party game developers if it wants to achieve its full potential. It's good that Ubisoft is showing some interest.

I am glad they will continue to support the PS Vita. While AC3:L wasn't the absolute best, it was still a very fun game. I'd be very interested in anything Ubisoft continues to develop for the system, along with what they said about the connectivity between it and the PS4.

Great to hear one of the top companies speak up for the Vita, and even the Wii U as I know both are struggling a bit. I'm really hoping they finally get it together when it comes to the Vita. I want to like it so much.

It's always great news to hear such words from Ubisoft. Let's face it, those two consoles are struggling when it comes to sales. Upon hearing such statement from a big company like Ubisoft, it is encouraging for us consumers to buy a Vita or a Wii U because we feel assured that this company will keep on supporting the two consoles despite its problems. I can't wait to see more games from Ubisoft on the Vita!

I don't really see that being a problem. The problem comes from lack of titles due to a low install base and crappy ports. If they made more and more decent games that would boost sells greatly. The Vita is getting a ton of indie titles and the Wii U is getting a ton of heavy hitter first party titles in 2014. Hopefully those start fixing the problem and get more devs on board.

I think this is a great move on Ubisofts part. They will be the one with both of these systems when they begin picking up steam. I think this is even bigger for Wii U than it is for Vita. Nintendo traditionally struggles with third party support, so having Ubisoft there is a nice addition.
