UMD passport a good idea to get discount on owned PSP games for the Vita?

Sony is letting PSP owners download a free app to register their games and get a discount on the Vita version of the same games starting 12/6. Do you think it will be popular to do this?

I think it will be quite popular. I already know several people who are very excited about these discounts. Games for the Playstation Vita are in demand as it is. Imagine how the sales will increase when the customers find out about this app...
