Uncharted 4 is delayed until Spring 2016

Guy over at my site posted this and thought it was way too important to keep you guys in the dark about Uncharted 4 is being delayed until the Spring of 2016. As sad of news as this is for me (I'm still messed up hearing about Top Gear being suspended ), I know them taking the extra time for this game will be well worth the wait. Naughty Dog doesn't cut corners and it is not in them to push a date unless they know it will make for a better product. As much as it sucks to wait the extra few months, this wait will be so worth it.

The next entry in Naughty Dog's well-loved action/adventure franchise won't be out this year, according to Uncharted 4 directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann.

Druckmann and Straley broke the news on the official PlayStation blog:

Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, more of the game and story have come together, and it's become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned.3

After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don't take lightly – this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for.So we've made the difficult choice of pushing the game's release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End not only meets the team's high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.Thank you for your patience – we know the extra wait will be excruciating, but you'll see it will be worth it as we reveal more about Uncharted 4 over the next year. The team at Naughty Dog will be heads down working through 2015 making sure that Nathan Drake's story gets the closure it deserves. Come Spring 2016, you and Nate are in for one thrilling, emotional ride.

Uncharted 4 will be the series' debut entry on Sony's newest home console and was shown off last December at the company's first PlayStation Experience event. Since Uncharted 3 came out in 2011, various high-profile members of Naughty Dog have left the studio, including the franchise's former head writer and creative director Amy Hennig, lead designer Richard Lemarchand and Justin Richmond. who was the game director for Uncharted 4.

Hearing that a big exclusive is getting moved out of the calendar year isn't great for PS4 owners, especially after the terrible reception for console exclusive The Order: 1886. But hopefully the decision means that Uncharted 4 will work as intended at launch. The next big PS4 release will be Bloodborne, which comes to the PS4 in a few weeks.

Seriously, i know this is going to sound like a repeating record, but nearly 2 years into the life cycle of the PS4 and lets be honest, the exclusive bit hitting games for the PS4 have been poor...

Killzone
Driveclub
The Order

have all been slated one way or another. Sure there will be a bunch of you guys out there that enjoy the games above, but the PS4 is SERIOUSLY lacking an exclusive title to show off the hardware.

Only decent PS exclusives are

Infamous
Transistor

I'm not including the Last of Us remastered as that's a PS3 HD game.

XBox wise, there have been loads of great exclusive games.

All would be forgiven if Sony released a massive exclusive hitter like UC4, but now we have to wait till SPRING 2016.

i am i little disapointed about the exclusives like blackadder said but, i dont mind it being uncharted, i have never played any of the others, but i still want it.

Wow. How amazing. Was looking forward to playing this in 2015. Oh well. Great things come to those who wait.

Don't hate me for posting this as i love ALL my consoles, ( ps3,PS2, PS4, PS Vita, XB360 XB1 ) but as someone who loves games, irrespective of platform, i still have to say, the XB exclusive titles i've played and own are far far better than anything sony have done, and now it looks like a second year will go by and i'll have to wait until 2016 for any sort of competition. I just wish there was better parity across the platforms in terms of exclusives.

RYSE, Sunset Overdrive, Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, TITANFALL, Ori and the blind forest ( got this yesterday and OMG, jaw dropping ) ...

Also related to all this HEAVILY is the fact the head of XB said they bought the rights to Tomb Raider to directly compete with Uncharted, and now TOMB Raider ( as long as that isn't delayed ) will have holiday 2015 all to itself as a MS exclusive.

Still to come out this year as XB exclusives, Quantic Break, Forza 6, Tomb Raider, Halo 5 Guardians, possbily Fable Legends, the quality titles Xb side just keep coming...

whereas PS wise Exclusive all i am looking forward to now for 2015 is.. No Mans Sky.... and.... ( insert picture of tumble weed here )

Sorry to make this sound all doom and gloom, just i'm VERY frustrated at the lack of PS Exclusives right now and this news makes it 1000% worse.
