uncomfortable to hold?

I have played NBA 2K14 on my Samsung Note 2 and managed to hold up against decent teams given the huge screen of the device with purely touch screen controls. In short it is pretty uncomfortable to play games on the Note 2 if there are on-screen buttons needed to be pressed. When I played NBA 2K14 on my friend's PS Vita, it was like a breath of fresh air. I could control the action with ease. I could perform moves that I could not do on the Note. It was so natural on my hands. I don't find the PS Vita uncomfortable to hold at all. :D

I find that playing on any sort of tablet or smartphone requires a big ass Samsung-grade screen and virtual buttons that work 100%. My friend suggested getting an attachment, but I shouldn't have to, you know?

I don't find the Vita uncomfortable at all. I have large hands so sometimes I'm afraid I might actually break it since it's so thin. There's something about the Vita's grip or materials that make it easier to hold. The PSP would get slippery sometimes and I would almost drop it to the point I could only play it in bed. Same with the 3DS compared to the DS.

I will admit there have been times when I've almost dropped the 3DS and I'll only play it on the sofa or in bed. I would've gotten a protector for it, but it's like...I shouldn't need to. I should just have a better grip on the thing and not hold it all casually. With the PSP I've almost dropped it on several occasions.

lol There's plenty of things you shouldn't need to, SpaceTiger. A more slip resistant handheld would be nice to have, really. It's not like Sony and Nintendo makes their handhelds with oil and butter, but still.

I didn't have any issues with it, but I didn't play it as much as the others did when we had one of these. The biggest issue for us was the limited number of titles that were available for it. I think that if they put out more titles...and maybe they did as DLC, then it would be a better buy. But for now, it just seems limited, even though it is probably one of the most advanced handhelds on the market today.

I've been hearing of a light lineup up games. Is it like a reverse of Wii U and 3DS where the handheld is getting more attention only in this case the consoles are?

You may want to look into buying a controller shaped grip. There are lots of designs out on the market, and I don't think they are very expensive. I've also come across a good amount of reviews saying that it's a pretty good accessory to have, and it does seem like it.

I've actually held and played on it for a while as a demo, felt very comfortable to me, maybe you just have really huge hands, ever think about that?

I wouldn't say it's uncomfortable but I would say that it feels initially bigger that one would think. I was surprised when I held my first vita due to how solid and big it felt. The horizontal orientation has a lot to do with it I think. After all, we're all so used to the gameboy's vertical orientation.

I find it awkward and it really puts stress on my left wrist which is messy due to a work accident. At the time I bought it the wrist was fine but now it feels worse due to the Vita. I am not into handheld games anymore so I am selling it.

Its uncomfortable because its small, and that super tiny joystick is hard to use, very uncomfortable indeed...

I absolutely hate the Vita's rear touchpad. I can't hold the Vita without accidentaly touching it, and in games like Borderlands, where the touchpad is actively used, it really messes me up.

I don't mind the Psvita so much and it felt just sort of comfortable when I played it for more than 1 hour. Compared to the 3ds xl, I think the PSvita is so much better in that regards because I find the edges to cut into me too much in the 3ds xl. I just have the problem with the touchpad too. I find myself to touch it way too often which is really annoying at times.

of course i thought i was the only one. i recently sold my ps vita for half i paid for it. a big loss but i hardly played it anyway.

It really depends on how long that I am playing for. I did feel uncomfortable with it after and extended play, generally my hands just didn't seem to have the right configuration to the controller.

I kinda do have to agree that it is a bit uncomfortable when playing the Vita. I say "kinda", because it really does not affect me that much, but the issue is still there. I tend to use a silicone case, which not only protects my Vita, but adds a little support when handling.
