using TV for computer monitor

Spin: Has anyone used their laptop to play video games (with a console adapter)? I saw a device on amazon that would let me use my gamecube with my laptop. So I could use my tv for actual tv or for another console while using my laptop to play my gamecube. Has anyone tried this out? The reviews are mixed.

I played video games on my Laptop on my TV before. I just connected the HDMI and it worked. The only downfall is the audio doesn't come out the TV speakers but it was still using my laptop speakers. That doesn't answer your question, sorry. lol

I did it for a while, but it's hard to get comfy, and also the resolution will be weird so it will be hard to read text etc. I'd rather a monitor and sat nicely at a desk.

I do output via HDMI to my TV though for movies and such.

I only do it when I'm either watching movies or playing video games. It's fun because I like looking at big things. Anyway, in order to such, you could either buy a VGA or HDMI Cable. I recommend buying the HDMI cable though, since it's more reliable and it serves as a cable for audio and video.
