Video Game Idea

They should make a game where GTA meets minecraft meets The Sims meets real life.. We'll just call it My Life.

It is funny how people like to play in virtual worlds instead of their own world. One gaming will appear as its real life. So in a way doesnt that become pointless? Its kind of funny.

This sounds a lot like you are describing second life to me. It is a PC game where you build a house and things and then interact with other people. It was really big a couple of years ago but has faded away a bit now.

I know everyone loves these life Sim games... But can anyone explain why to me? They seem completely pointless. Why buy a game to do stuff you can just do in real life?

One day we will see a game like GTA where you can create your life in a realistic way. Who knows, maybe they will combined games into it so you can become a professional basketball player for example. You could become a rock star.. Whatever it is you wanted to do you can. You could make money and go shopping.. Or murder people.

This is absolutely the type of game that I have been developing in my mind for years and I am waiting patiently until that happens because I know that when that game is ever made that would be an instant best seller. Everyone and their moms would want to buy that game. If I had the skills and the team I would definitely take a shot at creating a game like that. You could become anything that you want and build your own successful life. Cars, Clothes, Money, Women I mean in this world you could do everything. I think that game would be GTA 8 LOL

Yeah I feel like GTA is going to be the ones to create this game. They already have its just in beta mode technically. The GTA franchise is only getting more and more detailed. I bet once GTA7 (not 6) is out we will see some amazing game quality with incredible game features.

I like the idea. A realistic and dynamic GTA/ Minecraft hybrid. The only problem I can think of is memory issues, both on the disk for devs and memory for consumers. Neat idea though, I would buy it.

I see your point and I agree but there's no doubt these games have their appeal. I think it's mostly because that there are no consequences. People can do whatever they want in there and not have to worry about repercussions. Kind of like a second life to get away from the real life.

I know it's not a PS game, but I am so very obsessed with Animal Crossing. Since it's days on the Game Cube. I got the Sims 3 and it was really fun for quite a long while. It is funny what games some people find amusing, while others are wondering why the game was even created in the first place.

Lol, that's like OP's second paragraph says, people like to play more in the virtual worlds than in the real world. I've never found a point to Animal Crossing, feels like a chore simulator. Definitely very charming art style and stuff, though. Just not very fun to actually play. IMO.

I could work but it would take years of production, because you saw how long it took for GTA V to come out, so now imagine you had to combine that coding with the rest of the games. By the time the game comes out there will be a new system that is more powerful and could just be linked to your life through a cloud storage, but it is a great idea!

I honestly think that in the near future that there will be video games that you literally wont be able to tell the difference between real and fake. I think that the reason that alot of people like to play video games like this is because it gives them a chance to escape from their real lives and be someone or something that they cant in there lives. I would say that a lot of people play these video games for escapism being able to be someone they dreamed to be.

I agree, gamer. Most every simulation game that I play, I start out basing the character on myself. The sim looks like me, I pick personality traits that I have, etc...

There is where it differs. My sim is always much more successful than I am. I don't make $5,000 a week in royalty payments like she does! Wish I did...maybe some day.

For all we know, we are in a virtual reality this moment. There would be literally no way to prove it to be false. An interesting thought.
