Wanna buy PS4, Question about defects

Hey guy,

This is my first post soon I will join the horde of PS4 owners.

The only concern is, Sony in my country does not support warranty for PS4(kinda weird) so I'm only left with 7 days return policy of the retailers.

Now my question is, for BLOD, or disk reading defects(I read in some of the threads here) is 7 days enough to realize whether a device is defect or not?

I would be screwed if my PS4 is fine for a week then after 10 days suddenly it comes up with a BLOD or a drive malfunction.

I appreciate any comments or ideas about the above matters.

Also any difference between Region 1 and Region 2 devices?

Couldn't you take out a warranty with an outside company? After my one year on my PS3 I went and contacted a UK based company that covers electronics and they put my PS3 under warranty.

Thanks guys for your input.

I guess you should be really unlucky to get a defect one right?

Anyway I will try to find 3rd party warranty see if anyone covers PS4.

While I'm sure it's not uncommon, I find it odd that Sony wouldn't have a year warranty in a country where their stuff is sold. Unless your country is extremely lucky with electronics that it isn't needed or so unlucky with electronics it's not worth having implementing a warranty policy there.
