Want to see in PS4 User Interface in action?

I was watching a hands on video for The Order: 1886 and came to the last few minutes of the video where they showed three friends interacting with each other via the PS4. It shows what the dashboard may look like, how downloading games works, cross chat, friends feeds, etc. What I really like is the option to either download a single player portion of a game or the multiplayer version first. very cool. Here's the video on it's own.

Let us know what you think! I personally like it. But is it just me or does it remind you of facebook? FaceStation? :P

This ad feels so odd, I can't put my finger on it. Also, yes, I agree it looks so much like a Facestation (trademark it now!). I'm trying not to be a hater, especially considering I haven't even tried it yet, but after seeing this, I'm not exactly sure if this is a demand they have noticed and are only acting on it, or they are just manufacturing it for God knows why (money). This focus on online seems to be getting out of hand, but maybe/probably it's just me. Hopefully, I'm wrong and this ends up being a good step in the evolution of the gaming world.

Lately everyone is going with this same sleek and simple style of huge primary colored boxes and i do have to say that i ain't really a fan of it. Just a matter of preference i guess, but i would like if Sony had some kind of switching mode so it looked more like the the XrossMediaBar.

Wow that is so neat! Really awesome how you can record and upload your videos in a single click of a button. You can easily multi-task which is a great feature. Good on Sony for doing that, and thanks for sharing.

Yeah I have to agree with you on the coloured boxes. Not a fan of them much.

I like the user interface in general, but I don't have that many gamer friends so it doesn't appeal to me much. I also think there's far too much emphasis being placed on both the PS4 and Xbox One as an "all-in-one" system with all the different perks and features. It just all seems to gimmicky, and I generally play games by myself so I don't want to be forced into a social atmosphere, you know?
